Yoga on Kos


There’s nothing better than relaxing your body and mind and to go home rejuvenated. Be yourself in a relaxed, calm and inspiring environment. The yoga weeks are tailored for you to relax and recharge. You will be pampered and at the same time still maintain your privacy. Whatever you desire, everything is possible! The beautiful beaches of Kos, a wonderful massage and the various possibilities for hiking, cycling and swimming in the sea will make your vacation complete.

If you feel like it, in the evening you can go with the group to the thermal baths. These are natural hot springs, which the Greeks themselves use to relax and enjoy. With the sun setting and the stars in the sky, it is wonderful to float in the warm water with the sounds of the mountain goats as the background.

A partner or friend who would like to come along without joining the yoga classes? They are more than welcome! They will receive the same package (accommodation, meals, etc) without the yoga. We can arrange other activities like surfing, jeep safari or horse back riding if they are up for it. Please contact us for prices.

    The apartments have a bathroom, a veranda or balcony and Wi-Fi is available. In the garden there are plenty of spots where you can read and relax in one of the hammocks.

    We are located 4 kilometers from the city of Kos. Near but still far enough from the hustle and bustle. It also allows you to make special walks and cycling trips in the area. Yoga teachers Marja Bazuin, Tamara van Well, Eleni Valkanou and Eline van de Kam guide these week and teach several styles of yoga sessions, in the morning and in the afternoon. On arrival day there will be one class in the late afternoon and departure days there will be one class in the morning before breakfast.

    ‘On the yoga mat I’ve learned to accept the things that suffocate me instead of pushing them away. Yoga is coming home to yourself’. Eline teaches Vinyasa, Yin, Yin/Yang and Restorative yoga.

    When you wake up, you can enjoy a delicious fresh juice. Afterwards, you start the day on your yoga mat while enjoying the fresh air and the first sunbeams.  After this wonderful morning yoga, a rich and healthy breakfast will be waiting for you.

    The rest of the day, you will have all the time to do what you like and of course we’ll give you recommendations, if you need. In the early evening you have a lesson with views of the sunset. After this wonderful session, you can enjoy a delicious dinner.

  • Join us for an inspiring and relaxing Yoga Retreat in South Goa, India 9th – 16th December 2018.

    At a stunning tropical getaway, Sampoorna Yoga Village less than one minute walk from the beach, you can experience a chill out and relaxing week. Sampoorna is situated at Agonda Beach which is the perfect beach to unwind, sunbathe, swim and meditate, and you can also experience some of the most extraordinarily beautiful tropical sunsets.

    Can you see yourself practicing yoga in the middle of beautiful nature, surrounded by coconut, cashew, and palm trees with sea view and the sound of singing birds? Yoga teacher Tamara van Well will be teaching this week and you can follow the several styles of yoga and meditation sessions. You will arrive on the Sunday and the first yoga/meditation session of the week will be in the afternoon, followed by dinner.

  • In the early evenings, we visited little chapels and old villages, the flamingos on the lake, the Turkish village and bathed in the hot springs. The food was a real joy, not only because it was very delicious and seemed quite healthy, but also that it was authentically Greek. The place itself is located right on the beach which is ideal but has it’s own courtyard with hammocks and ‘break out’ areas to sit in. It is, as it says, near to Kos itself. It is near enough to be easily accessible by bicycle, bus, or even a walk along the coast. It is far enough to be a more tranquil oasis from busy Kos centre. However, if you’re looking for typical tourist accommodation then this isn’t really that. It is a little more rustic and charming. The apartments are spacious and the beds comfortable, not quite so modern as most tourist apartments, but each with a little covered seating area looking over the main grass courtyard. I think we were all glad that the whole experience wasn’t anything like a ‘package’ type holiday One of the things we all enjoyed was the attached farmyard where it was almost a meditation in it’s own right watching the goats and cows etc. wandering in the fields. Then there were the two bouncy dogs and more laid back cat” Ann
